Seton Youth Shelters' Platinum Anniversary 20th Annual Kentucky Derby Day Celebration: A Silks & Irons Soiree! Our unmatched signature spring event is turning 20 this year, and to celebrate, we're bringing some new features to the stable—and the table—beginning with delectable cuisine courtesy of Baker's Crust Artisan Kitchen! Our live, giant-screen live broadcast of the 145th renewal running of the Kentucky Derby, VIP Room with its own private bar and dining station, live music, Ladies' and Gentlemen's Hat Contest, live turf horse races, Mint Julep, and specialty liquor bars, silent auction and more will complete the afternoon and evening.
Seton Youth Shelters' A Silks & Irons Soiree Kentucky Derby celebration happens just once a year, but your support of this event means that 24 hours a day, every single day of the year, we can keep the promise we made in 1985 to provide critical shelter, outreach, and mentoring services, without charge, to our region's most vulnerable youth in crisis throughout Hampton Roads, with the goal of reuniting families.
